Our Committment
as a
Social Enterprise
At the Quality Improvement Clinic, our work is guided by a clear social purpose. As an independent organisation, we are owned and governed in ways that protect our business mission and our social mission. We are committed to transparency in how we operate and in how we report the impact of our work.
Our Business Mission
We support people, teams and systems to develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to make meaningful improvement happen—and keep happening. Our goal is to help individuals and organisations build sustainable approaches to change that strengthen both their work and our ability to serve them.
Our Social Mission
As a social enterprise, we embed social value into the way we trade, reinvest, and deliver our services:
- We generate more than 50% of our income through trading activities.
- We reinvest and/or donate at least 50% of our profits to advance our mission and expand access to our work.
- We offer free places on our courses to patients, parents, and patient representatives.
- We provide free or significantly discounted access to our programmes and learning materials for people from low- and middle-income countries.
- We make decisions that give equal weight to people, the planet, and profit.
- We treat all partners, clients, learners and collaborators with respect and integrity.
These commitments sit at the heart of who we are. They ensure that our work not only supports improvement in health and care, but also contributes to a wider social good.
